TeamSnap and Nike Partner to Distribute Essential Coaching Resources for Today’s Youth Athletes, Focusing on Girls

TeamSnap, the #1 youth sports management platform, today announced a game-changing partnership with Nike to deliver research-backed coaching resources across TeamSnap’s digital platforms. The new collaboration aims to support and inspire coaches, parents and youth athletes by providing easily accessible, research-driven tools and insights—all in one place.

TeamSnap will distribute free, online coaching resources developed by Nike and leading experts:

  • How to Coach Kids, an online, foundational coaching course designed for coaches of kids ages 7-12 in any sport, co-developed by Nike and the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Committee (USOPC) and inspired by Project Play.
  • Coaching Girls, an accompanying online course to How to Coach Kids that offers strategies to help coaches address the unique challenges girls in sports face, and create a culture where girls love to play.
  • Body Confident Sport, a first-of-its-kind, scientifically proven set of coaching tools to build body confidence in 11-17-year-old girls, co-developed by Nike and Dove, in partnership with world-renowned researchers and experts: the Centre for Appearance Research, and the Tucker Center for Research on Girls & Women in Sport.

“At TeamSnap, we believe coaches are the heart of youth sports—and when we equip them with the right tools, we help unlock the potential of every young athlete,” said Peter Frintzilas, CEO of TeamSnap. “Our partnership with Nike goes beyond sharing expert content—it’s about using technology to make coaching more accessible and impactful. Together, we’re empowering coaches to create meaningful, lasting experiences that keep girls in the game—fueling their confidence on and off the field.”

With TeamSnap’s extensive reach—serving more than 25 million users across more than 19,000 youth sports organizations—coaches will have direct, in-app access to content from these valuable sources. Whether they are planning practices, communicating with parents, or managing game-day logistics, coaches will have the materials and inspiration they need to create more positive experiences in sport for the next generation.

“Nike is powering the future of youth sport, with the vision of an active, inclusive world that inspires all youth to play and achieve their greatest potential,” said Matt Geschke, Senior Director Americas, Nike Social & Community Impact. “And to do that, we’re changing the culture of sport by investing in research-backed coaching tools to keep all youth, especially girls, in sport, so they can achieve their greatest potential in the game and in life. Partnering with TeamSnap helps us bring these valuable resources to coaches and sport providers everywhere — equipping them to inspire the next generation of athletes.”

Both Nike and TeamSnap are part of the Aspen Institute’s Project Play 63×30 initiative—an industry-wide movement designed to engage 63% of children in sports by 2030. By combining Nike’s expertise in empowering communities through sport with TeamSnap’s user-friendly platform and robust youth sports ecosystem, this collaboration promises to expand access to inclusive coaching resources on a wide scale.
